Red Gables makes the front page of the Sunderland Echo – well done team

Great to see some really positive news on the front page of the Sunderland Echo today showcasing Together for Children‘s new respite home for children at Red Gables. Such a lot of hard work is going into renovating this project on behalf of the Sunderland-based children’s charity, and it’s already looking great thanks to the efforts of our team, led by site manager Stu McDonald and with great contributions from our joiners David Young and Adam Young especially.

Red Gables will be a comfortable short-stay respite centre for children with SEN or disabilities and their families, accommodating up to five children at a time and including features such as a sensory room, accessible bathrooms, and specialist equipment to meet diverse needs. External alterations include making the property accessible for wheelchair users, with ramps, low threshold doors, and automatic doors alongside internal alterations, such as a lift, accessible kitchen and hoists.

Well done to everyone involved, we’re all looking forward to seeing the end result.
